How often should I replace my wiper blades?
Consider replacing your wipers around the 12-18 month mark, depending on use and conditions. NZ conditions can be harsh on rubber, such as UV exposure and coastal (salty) air. So if they're streaking, squeaking, jumping, or hard to see through in the rain, change them. You'll wonder why you didn't sooner.
Can wipers fail a WOF (warrant of fitness) in New Zealand?
Wiper blades are routinely checked during a warrant of fitness inspection in New Zealand, so we recommend you use this routine to inspect and replace them (if needed) before each WOF. If your wipers are leaving areas of the windscreen unclear, they may cause a fail. Our blades are pro-quality for a streak-free, clear view, so the WOF inspector will not hesitate to pass them.
